    Height of Inscribed Questions

    in MCV4U1 Forum

    how do you determine the height for the inscribed questions for example in this question:

    How could you tell that the height of the triangle was h-10? (why is it not h/2)

    why couldn't you assume that r was also 10 cm even though the radius throughout a circle is uniform?


    vs a problem like this where the height is h/2? (why is is not h-6?)

    Does this help? Sorry about the sloppiness...trying out some new tech! At the beginning i say "h minus 2"...should've been "h divided by 2". Also, just noticed the volume is pretty low, so don't forget to turn your volume back down when you're done!
